WePlay Academy League Season 6 has officially made its way to the playoffs, which is due to begin in two weeks' time on November 18 and conclude with the grand final on November 20. Just four teams remain standing in the academy league tournament, where they will battle in a double-elimination best-of-three bracket for their chance at taking home both the trophy and the $45,000 first-place cash prize. Jimpphat and co. will aspire to win their organisation its fifth WePlay trophy Spirit Academy are currently the favourites to win the event outright. They secured a playoff berth on the back of a strong showing through the group stage, where the Ukrainian-majority roster put up an impressive 9-3 record to finish Group B as the top seed. They will also be gunning for a first-place finish after the side notably ended last season as runners-up to the now-eliminated fnatic Rising. NAVI Junior, meanwhile, start their run through the knockout stage from the opposite side of the bracket. The quintet were also gifted a spot straight in the playoffs thanks to their first-place group-stage campaign, where they rounded out proceedings with an 8-4 showing. The new-look roster will aim to earn their organisation its fifth WePlay Academy League trophy, with previous iterations of MOUZ NXT rosters famously being four-time, back-to-back champions. Rounding out the list of teams in the playoffs are Young Ninjas, who also locked in their place in the knockout stage through the play-in after moving past PROSPECTS 2-0. The Swedish outfit will need to find a way to deal with Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov who, despite being transfer-listed by NAVI Junior, continues to provide for his squad, as he averages a stellar 1.36 rating in the past three months.
